Welcome to the Border Terrier Club of America

BTCA Club Objectives
The Border Terrier Club of America (BTCA) was founded in 1949 with the desire of the founders to protect the natural instincts and characteristics of the breed. This commitment lives on in the club today.
The Border Terrier Club of America encourages and promotes quality in the breeding of pure-bred Border Terrier and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection. Our club encourages the organization of independent local Border Terrier Specialty Clubs in those localities where there are sufficient fanciers of the breed to meet the requirements of the American Kennel Club.
We urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by The American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which Border Terriers shall be judged. And to do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed against commercial exploitation and to encourage sportsmanlike competition at dog shows and all companion and performance events.
BTCA conducts sanctioned matches, specialty shows, companion and performance events for which the club is eligible under the rules and regulations of the American Kennel Club.

Your Resource for all things BORDER TERRIER

The Border Terrier Club of America Health and Scholarship Foundation is a 501c3, so all donations are tax deductible. The Foundation supports the annual health clinics at the specialty to help members by bringing the costs down. As health funds grow it will be able to support research promoting the health of Border Terriers.
The second part of the Foundation is to encourage our juniors in their pursuit of higher education. Since 2013, with the formation of the 501c3, the Foundation has awarded more than 30 scholarships to deserving juniors.
100% of donations go to very worthy causes.
