We are pleased to announce Steven Dean has accepted and is under contract to judge Border Terriers at the upcoming 2024 Montgomery County Kennel Club dog show.

Ms. Peggy Beisel-McIllwaine has verbally accepted our request to judge Border Terriers at the 2025 Montgomery County Kennel Club dog show. Peggy Beisel-McIllwaine received the second highest number of votes on the 2021 judges ballot. When she was asked to judge the 2023 Montgomery County Kennel Club dog show, she responded that she already had commitments for MCKC 2023 and also 2024. At that point and according to Peggy, a conversation occurred in which Peggy came away thinking that she was asked to judge MCKC 2025. When Bobbi Hurst took over as VP, she re-contacted Peggy asking again if she would be available for Montgomery County Kennel Club in either 2023 or 2024. Ms. Beisel-McIllwaine responded to Bobbi that she was asked to judge MCKC 2025 and said that “I’ve already turned down numerous assignments to judge Borders in 2025”. Bobbi brought this issue before the BTCA Board in 2022. The BTCA Board then agreed to take responsibility for this miscommunication since Peggy had already given up assignments and to allow Peggy Beisel-McIllwaine to judge Montgomery County Kennel Club for 2025.

We are also pleased to announce that Karen Fitzpatrick has verbally accepted our request to judge Border Terriers at the 2026 Montgomery County Kennel Club dog show.
