Dr. Arnold comes to us by way of California, where he completed his undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, before attending veterinary school at UC Davis.
Dr. Arnold then completed a one year rotating veterinary internship at a private practice in Southern California.
Following this Dr. Arnold attended Colorado State University, where he completed his ophthalmology residency and obtained a Masters in Clinical Sciences.
Dr. Arnold became a board certified ophthalmologist in 2012 prior to joining the team at Animal Eye Center

Dr. Allison Heaney, DVM MS DACVIM - Cardiology
Petcardia Veterinary Cardiology
Dr. Allison Heaney is the owner of Petcardia Veterinary Cardiology, an independent, full-serve veterinary cardiology practice with locations at at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital, Veterinary Specialists of Northern Colorado and Four Seasons Veterinary Specialists.
She started her veterinary career as both an emergency and a primary care veterinarian. She draws on this experience to truly understand the challenges faced by referring veterinarians, as well as the diverse needs of patients and their owners.
Dr. Heaney prides herself on her compassion, communication, and ability to build a comprehensive alliance with owners and referring veterinarians in the management of difficult cardiac cases.
Dr. Heaney began her cardiology training at Kansas State University in 2003 and received an ACVIM Diplomate in Cardiology in 2006.
She was an Assistant Professor of Cardiology at Washington State University, where she was awarded a Young Investigator Award by the Journal of Veterinary Cardiology, and has additional publications in the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine, American Journal of Veterinary Research, Journal of Veterinary Clinical Pathology, and Veterinary Pathology.
Dr. Heaney also believes that service to the profession is one of the essential requirements of a Diplomate. She has remained active within the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, serving on the ACVIM Nominating, Cardiology Credentials, and Cardiology Exam Committees.

Parade of Honor

The Parade of Honor showcases the versatility of the Border Terrier.
To be eligible for this event, a dog or bitch must be owned or co-owned by a BTCA member and must have earned the BTCA Versatility Title or Versatility Excellent Title.

A Versatility dog may participate in the Parade of Honor three times during its lifetime. There is no limitation placed upon dogs holding the Versatility Excellent Title. A BTCA Versatility-titled dog may be entered in a regular or non-regular Specialty class as well as the Parade of Honor.


RV Reservations

deadline was August 1, 2018

Overnight parking for RVs will be available at the Island Grove show site. Parking will be on asphalt with some spaces adjacent to grassy areas.
Parking will be approximately 50 feet from the main show building.
The parking area will be restricted to RVs, campers, guests and their dogs only. No other vehicle traffic will be allowed.
Parking is available from noon Thursday Aug 30, 2018 through 3 PM Thursday September 6, 2018. Please make your reservations early!
Please note that electricity (30 amp AND 50 amp available at each site) and water will be available at each camp space.
There is a dump station on site but not at each camp space. Showers and restrooms are nearby.
Waste tank pump-out (at a fee, at your space) will be provided during the week of the Specialty if sufficient people want that service.
All vehicles must be self-contained with a working fire extinguisher, and no dumping of grey water or waste tanks on park property will be permitted.

Please note the following parking information:

  1. Spaces will be assigned according to RV size, space available and order received.
  2. If campers wish to park near each other, that information must be included with your parking application. Reservations need not be mailed together but you need to let us know you want to park adjacent. We will do everything to accommodate your requests, but no guarantees!
  3. Confirmation of your reservation will be sent by email or by mail if you enclose a stamped, self addressed envelope.
  4. All personal generators must be turned off between 10PM and 6AM daily except those required for disability, medical or safety reasons.
  5. All towed (not towing) vehicles (tag vehicles) must be parked outside the RV parking area in near-by general parking or you must pay for a second site. Please do not block fire lanes.
  6. All spaces are at least 20 feet wide.
  7. No parking fee refunds will be made after close of entries.
  8. All parking reservations must be received by August 1, 2018.
  9. Parking fee is $47 per space per night. Waste tank pump-out fee (if sufficient people desire service) will be collected by the vendor at time of service. Please indicate on your reservation if you want this service so we can schedule accordingly.
  10. It is strongly recommended that you dump your waste tanks at the RV park's dump station when you arrive. You may also use this facility when you depart. It's use is free of charge for campers with reservations.
  11. Please note that RV parking will NOT be available at the Earthdog site approximately 30 miles distant.
